If you wish to express your general interest in working with Brighter Access you are welcome to complete the Expression of Interest Form and submit it, along with your current resume and a brief letter outlining the type of role you are interested in. You will be contacted should we have a position that matches your skills and experience. Otherwise we will hold your application for a period of three months. 

Disability Support Worker

We work within the community and disability-supported accommodation settings, which includes the provision of personal care to men and women, as well as support with activities of daily living. Note that all of our support staff must be available to complete shift work, ranging from early mornings to active night shifts as part of a consistent and focused team. 

You Must Have:

  • ​Current Driver's Licence

  • First Aid Certificate (or willingness to obtain)

  • National Disability Insurance Scheme Worker Check (available from Service NSW)

  • Current Working with Children's Check

  • Willingness to work across all Brighter Access' services, and with a variety of participants

  • Able to be flexible and work different shifts over a 24/7 roster (afternoon and night shift work attracts allowances on top of your base wage)

  • Commitment to inclusion and disability service standards required

Desirable:

  • Previous experience working in the industry and behavioural support

  • Experience in manual handling and providing personal care

Remuneration: SCHADS Award Level 2.
